Letter Import
InSched allows you to import pre-defined letter templates into a patient's chart. Letters are typically standard correspondence such as referral letters, follow-up instructions, or consent documents.
Opening the Letter Import Dialog
From the EMR Viewer, select Import Scanned Chart or the letter import option to open the Import Letters dialog.
Selecting Letters to Import
The dialog displays a grid of available letter templates:

| Import? | Check this box to select the letter for import |
| Name | The letter template name |
Additional letter metadata (author, title, associated treatment stage, formal/informal designation) is tracked internally.
Importing
- Review the list of available letter templates
- Check the Import? checkbox next to each letter you want to add to the patient's chart
- Click Import to add the selected letters
The imported letters are added to the patient's chart as documents.
Letter Template Properties
Each letter template can be associated with:
- Treatment Stage — Links the letter to a specific stage in a treatment plan
- Type — Categorizes the letter
- Author — Who authored the template
- Formal / Informal — Whether the letter uses formal language
- From Physician / Nurse / Coordinator — Which staff role the letter is from
