Medisoft Billing Integration

InSched can integrate with Medisoft practice management software for billing operations. This integration allows patient and billing data to flow between the two systems.

Overview​

The Medisoft integration connects InSched to a Medisoft database (via Advantage Data Server) to:

  • Link InSched patients to Medisoft patient records
  • Map InSched procedures, facilities, and providers to their Medisoft equivalents
  • Transfer billing data between systems

Medisoft Preferences​

Accessing Preferences​

Select Setup > Medisoft Preferences from the menu (when Medisoft integration is enabled).

Procedures Tab​

Map InSched procedures to their Medisoft counterparts:

Provider Tab​

Map InSched providers to their Medisoft provider records. The grid shows each InSched physician name alongside their mapped Medisoft provider.

Connecting Patients​

The Connect Patient dialog links InSched patients to Medisoft patient records.

Finding a Medisoft Patient​

  1. Enter the patient's Last Name and/or First Name
  2. The grid displays matching Medisoft patient records
  3. Click Add Selected Patient to link the Medisoft record to the InSched patient

Creating a New Medisoft Patient​

If no match exists, click Add New Patient to create a new record in Medisoft for the InSched patient.

Synchronized Fields​

When patients are linked, the following data can be exchanged:

  • Patient demographics (name, date of birth, address)
  • Insurance carrier information (up to 3 carriers)
  • Diagnosis codes (up to 4, with present-on-admission indicators)
  • Case and authorization data
  • Visit series information
  • Chart number
