Managing Inventory
The main Inventory dialog provides a consolidated view of all product types and their current stock levels.
Accessing the Inventory
Select Inventory from the menu to open the Inventory dialog.
Inventory Grid
The grid displays one row per product type with the following columns:

| Product Name | Name of the product type |
| Tracked | Whether individual items are tracked |
| Model Number | Manufacturer's model number |
| Size | Product size |
| Size Units | Unit of measurement (ml, oz, g, etc.) |
| Unit Price | Selling price per unit |
| Unit Cost | Cost per unit |
| Inactive | Whether the product type is discontinued |
| Stock Total | Current stock quantity |
| Last Trans Date | Date of the most recent transaction |
| Manufacturer | Manufacturer name |
Searching
Use the search box at the top of the grid to filter products by name or other attributes. The grid updates as you type.
Adding Stock
Right-click a product in the grid and select Add Items to open the transaction entry dialog and record a stock increase.
Viewing Transaction History
Right-click a product and select View Transactions to see the complete transaction history for that product type. See Inventory Transactions for details.
Product Types
Product types define the items in your inventory catalog. To manage product types (add, edit, or deactivate), access the Product Types editor from Billing > Product Types.
Product Type Fields

| Product Type Name | Descriptive name for the product |
| Individually Tracked | Enable tracking of individual items with serial/lot numbers |
| Manufacturer | Select from the manufacturers list (or create new) |
| Vendor | Select from the vendors list (or create new) |
| Model No | Manufacturer's model number |
| Model Barcode | Barcode on the product packaging |
| Size | Product size value |
| Size Units | Unit of measurement |
| Price | Selling price per unit |
| Cost | Cost per unit |
| Reorder Level | Stock threshold for reorder alerts |
| Account No | Accounting system reference |
| Inactive | Mark as discontinued |
Creating a New Product Type
- Open the Product Types editor
- Click New or press F8
- Fill in the product details
- Assign a manufacturer and vendor (create new ones if needed using the Mfgrs and Vendors buttons)
- Set price and cost
- If individual items need tracking (implants, serialized devices), check Individually Tracked
- Click Ok or press F3 to save
Editing a Product Type
Select a product in the grid and click Edit or press F9 to modify its details.
