Patient Labels and Printing

InSched provides several options for printing patient-related labels, envelopes, and accessing patient information from a centralized dialog.

Accessing the Print Patient Dialog

Select File > Edit Patient, Print Patient Labels & Postage from the menu.

Finding a Patient

The dialog includes a patient search field. Type a few letters of the patient's name and search to select the patient you want to work with.

You can also:

  • Create a new patient directly from this dialog
  • Edit an existing patient's record

Configuration options include:

If Stamps.com is configured, you can print postage-paid envelopes and labels:

  • Print Stamped Package - Package label with postage

The system detects whether the Stamps.com printers (SDCEnvelope, SDCFlat, SDCPackage) are configured and shows a reminder to keep the Stamps.com client running during printing.

Additional Functions

From the Print Patient dialog, you can also:

  • Edit Patient Plan - Open the patient's treatment plan for editing
  • Open Patient Chart - Access the patient's electronic chart

  • Preferences > File Folder Labels - File folder label settings

Both sections allow you to:

  • Select the printer
  • Set font size
  • Adjust horizontal and vertical offsets
  • Print sample labels to test alignment
